Dermapen for Skin Rejuvenation
Dermapen®, a highly advanced skin rejuvenation therapy system, is now available. Ovation Med Spa® was the first in the city to offer the treatment, which utilizes a handheld, pen-like device with 11 fine, 33-gauge needles vertically inserted into the skin at such a rapid pace that the client experiences little pain or discomfort.
Dermapen® helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.* The Dermapen’s multiple, vibrating needles pierce the skin several hundred times per minute to enhance rejuvenation results in a manner that is far safer than other methods. The Dermapen® is fully adjustable, making it easier to treat delicate areas around the nose and eyes. The treatment also helps to minimize pore size and it can be combined with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate collagen production and speed healing.
Dermapen® with Platelet Rich Plasma (Vampire Procedures)
Vampire procedures using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) have been increasing in popularity. The Dermapen treatment is now being used to increase the speed and comfort of Vampire procedures. The PRP treatment is administered first and involves the application of a rich concentration of your own platelet rich plasma that is spun down via a centrifuge device. The Dermapen uses the fractionated pattern of micro needles to drive the PRP into the dermal – epidermal junction. The Dermapen device allows us to vary the speed and depth of the treatment so we can safely handle all different areas of your face and body. The PRP treatment is widely accepted as a very effective treatment and takes advantage of the bodies own powerful growth factors to stimulate healing and rejuvenation.
Now, when combined with the Dermapen treatment, the PRP therapy has an effective delivery application to easily penetrate the surface of the skin and jump start the rejuvenation process. The treatment is easily administered and there is no clinical downtime. This treatment is used to help patients with all skin types and is a corrective and preventative therapy to treat fine lines and wrinkles, manage scars from acne or other injuries, improve skin texture and color from melanoma presentations, and stimulate new collagen growth.*
